A project marking my 4-month anniversary since I started doing 3D art.
My most complete sculpt to date: monstrous traps, thick, powerful hands, and heavy focus on the arms — the relationship between bone and muscle, especially around the olecranon, the ulna, and the forearm extensors, alongside how body fat governs the visibility of the muscles beneath it and gives the figure character. The pose pairs extreme tension and stretch through the arms, built through careful attention to bone and tendon, against release through the ribcage, shown through folds and visible fat along the iliac crest, lower back, and glutes. It was built in passes — a deliberately grotesque blockout with every muscle exposed and separated with no hierarchy, then a pass introducing hierarchy and coherent transitions tied to the stretched upper body and relaxed lower body, then the muscles and tendons themselves (elbow, retracted scapulas), and finally fine detail: pores, veins, skin imperfections, folds, and the striations and contrast shifts within a single muscle under tension, stretch, or deformation.
